We’re Back!

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Toni @ 9:05 pm

We have arrived safely home from Quilt Market!  We spend 4 days walking rows of vendor and suppliers.  We ordered many new fabrics, notions and patterns.  And we scheduled some exciting teachers for the following months!

We’ll spend this week posting reviews on the show and share our excitement with all the upcoming events we have in the stages of planning right now!

Day 1 Welcome To Spring Quilt Market 2009:

We arrived Thursday for School House classes and watch from above as the convention floor started to fill up with vendors:

After class most vendors were done by end of classes:

We learned a lot of next techniques and played with new notions and plan to have new notion demo’s monthly.

We learned how to use Big Print fabrics with some great new patterns from Grizzly Gulch Gallery and met many wonderful people including Jennifer Chiaverini, author of the Elm Creek Quilts books:

And also meet with Amy Butler as she shows us her new software project program.

We had an evening class with Jinny Beyer on how to use color, which was very insightful.  Jinny is an excellent instructor and wonderful person:

We had a lovely dinner at the Fish Market, right across from the convention center.  Then, we came back to the hotel exhausted, excited and awaited for Day 2.
